November 25, Fineko/abc.az. According to international practice, it is planned to move to a new stage of tax control.
ABC.AZ reports, quoting Nijat Imanov, the head of the Main Tax Policy Department of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, that starting from next year, it is planned to introduce a "horizontal monitoring" mechanism used in international practice, and it is also proposed to abolish electronic auditing.
Imanov said that in the changes introduced this year, the main priority is to optimize the tax burden for entrepreneurs and create a more favorable business environment.
“As for the expected major innovations, it is planned to extend the tax benefits applied to territories liberated from occupation to business entities operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the same manner. This will be a serious support for stimulating entrepreneurship in the region,” he stressed.
The new system provides for the mutual exchange of documents and information through a digital platform, which will increase the effectiveness of both reporting and control.
“In 2026, it is planned to introduce a number of important innovations aimed at simplifying tax administration and creating a more comfortable tax environment for entrepreneurs. The main goal is to increase transparency, strengthen mutual trust between taxpayers and tax authorities, and bring tax administration in line with modern management principles. In this context, both the efficiency of tax authorities and the quality of services provided to taxpayers are consistently improving,” Imanov said.
