September 30, Fineko/abc.az. The location of the entire water infrastructure in Azerbaijan underground creates difficulties.

ABC.AZ informs that Ilham Bayramov, deputy chairman of the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan, made this statement at a press conference devoted to the work done over the past 9 months.

According to Bayramov, therefore, it is necessary that the services respond immediately to accidents: "Accidents can happen anywhere in the world. The main issue is their prompt elimination, because many years of operation of underground networks cause certain problems."

He added that along with water supply, special attention is paid to wastewater disposal: "The measures taken in this direction serve both to protect the environment and to ensure human health. The population's access to water is directly related to the economic development of the country. Uninterrupted water supply to Baku and other regions is under constant control. Despite the existing difficulties, work is underway to overcome them."
