September 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Main Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Baku has begun dismantling unauthorized metal structures installed on the facade of a protected architectural monument located on 28 May Street.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, that the building is included in the list of state-protected architectural monuments by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Committee noted that, in cooperation with experts from the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, necessary measures are being implemented to restore the monument’s historical appearance. It was emphasized that any future unauthorized interventions will be strictly prevented to safeguard the historical integrity of architectural monuments.
