July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes for $56.765 million for Jan-Jun 2025 (4.4% more versus Jan-Jun 2024), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee.

Tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes worth $24.235 million were exported from Azerbaijan (7.2% less than 1 year ago).

Imports of tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes made up 0.49% of Azerbaijan's overall imports, while exports - 0.19% of overall exports.

In the first half of the year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries in the amount of $24.4 billion (12.1% more against Jan-Jun 2024).

Of the foreign trade turnover, $12.878 billion accounted for exports and $11.522 billion for imports. Over Jan-Jun 2025, exports decreased by 0.2%, while imports increased by 29.9%.
