June 3, Fineko/abc.az. The National Bank of Kazakhstan has launched the cryptocard project, which allows paying for purchases, linked to wallets in licensed AIFC providers.

ABC.AZ reports that client's funds will be automatically sold on the center's crypto market upon payment, and the equivalent will be credited to the card. This is the first such mechanism in the region aimed at simplifying payments with digital assets.

Also in 2025, under the coordination of the NBK, the release of tenge-backed stablecoins for settlements with tokenized assets will begin. In addition, pilots on tokenization of real estate and other assets will be launched, with the creation of accounting and storage systems. The goal is to develop the infrastructure of the digital economy in the legal field.
