May 30, Fineko/abc.az. The rating of the CIS countries in terms of nominal GDP for 2025 has been prepared.
ABC.AZ informs that Russia is the leader of the list. The rating looks like this:
1. Russia
Nominal GDP of the northern neighbor is approx. $2.2 trillion. The country ranks 11th in the global ranking. Thus, Russia has the largest economy among the CIS countries.
2. Kazakhstan
Country's nominal GDP is $259.3 billion (according to data for 2023).
The economy of Kazakhstan exceeds the combined GDP of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
3. Azerbaijan
Our country's nominal GDP is $75.6 billion (for 2024). Azerbaijan ranks third among the CIS countries.
4. Belarus
Country's nominal GDP is nearly $70 billion (according to data for 2023). Belarus ranks fourth in the CIS.
5. Uzbekistan
Nominal GDP is close to $80 billion (according to data for 2023). Uzbekistan is in fifth place in the ranking.
6. Armenia
Nominal GDP of the western neighbor is about $20 billion (2023).
7. Kyrgyzstan
Nominal GDP is approx. $10 billion (2023).
8. Tajikistan
Nominal GDP is $13 billion (2023).
There are significant differences between the economies of the CIS countries. Russia and Kazakhstan have the largest economies, while GDP of other countries is noticeably lower.
