April 8, Fineko/abc.az. The American stock market, which is experiencing large-scale sales due to the introduction of import duties, is feeling its way to the bottom.

ABC.AZ informs that this opinion was expressed by Peter Navarro, Adviser to the President of the U.S. on trade and manufacturing, in an interview with TV channel Fox News on April 7.

He expressed confidence that a turnaround would take place in the near future, and companies whose production is based in the U.S. would lead the recovery process.

"They will be the ones leading the recovery, this will happen," the White House spokesman stressed.

In his opinion, localization of production will be a key growth factor for American companies against the background of new trading conditions.

U.S. stock markets continued to decline on Monday after the announcement of large-scale import duties by U.S. President Donald Trump. Dow Jones index lost 0.91%, while the S&P 500 adjusted by 0.23%.
