April 3, Fineko/abc.az. China provided 60% of the global renewable energy growth in 2023.

ABC.AZ informs that according to ekd.me, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said about this with reference to the International Renewable Energy Agency.

According to agency’s report, global renewable energy capacity grew by a record of 585 kW in 2024. This accounted for 92.5% of the total increase in electricity generation in the world. China accounted for more than half of this increase.
