February 26, Fineko/abc.az. The head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, has topped the ranking of superbillionaires, which includes only 24 people from around the world.

ABC.AZ reports that The Wall Street Journal writes about this, citing data from analytical company Altrata.

In its opinion, today speech is about the emergence of a new category of ultra-rich people - superbillionaires, each of whom has an estimated fortune of at least $50 billion. Altrata has defined 24 people from all over the world to this list. In the first place of the rating is the head of SpaceX, Tesla and X companies, Elon Musk, whose fortune is estimated at $419.4 billion. He is followed by Jeff Bezos, founder of online retailer Amazon ($263.8 billion), Bernard Arnault, owner of the luxury giant LVMH ($238.9 billion), Larry Ellison, head of Oracle technology company ($237 billion), and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Corporation (recognized as extremist in Russia) ($220.8 billion).

In total, the 24 richest people in the world account for $3.3 trillion, which is comparable to France's nominal GDP, Altrata estimates. The fortune of 16 people on the list exceeds $100 billion. Moreover, if in the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century the wealthiest people were industrialists, then most of the current superbillionaires earned their capital working in the technological field.
