Russia and Belarus to create common oil and gas market

February 21, Fineko/abc.az. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak met with Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich.

ABC.AZ reports that they discussed work on the formation of a common oil & gas market, as well as other methods of integration within the framework of the Union State.

"For January-October, trade turnover grew by 6.5%. In turn, trade turnover of economic products increased by 16.1% against the same period of 2023," Novak said at the meeting.

He added that Russia is the first trading partner for Belarus, while the Union Republic is Russia's main trading partner in the CIS and the fourth in the world.
