February 10, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's GDP per capita is close to 40% lower than in high-income countries.

ABC.AZ informs that Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli stated about this in Baku at the presentation of the World Bank's annual global report World Development Report (WDR) for 2024.

"Currently, in our country, this figure is $6,000, while in high–income countries it is $10,000. To reduce the gap, it is necessary to diversify the economy, including stimulating the development of the trade sector, covering both goods and services," he noted.
