January 27, Fineko/abc.az. The newly-appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich has met with the management of the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), ABC.AZ report, referring to plant’s press service.

"Plant’s general director Valery Ivankovich informed the ambassador about the state of affairs regarding cooperation with Azerbaijan, including projects for the supply of fire and utility equipment. The diplomat, for his part, assured the management of MAZ of providing all-round support for the promotion of technology in the country," the press service informs.

The Minsk Automobile Plant specializes in the production of cargo, passenger, trailed and special equipment. The enterprise produces about 500 models and modifications of on-board and all-wheel drive vehicles, dump trucks, chassis, tractors, logging trucks, trailers and semi-trailers, cranes, special equipment, about 15 models of buses, trolleybuses, electric buses.

MAZ has a representative office in Azerbaijan and is actively developing cooperation with the Ganja Automobile Plant. In particular, there is an agreement between the two companies on the production of equipment for rescuers at an assembly plant in Ganja.
