 January 6, Fineko/abc.az. The work on the repair and modernization of STAR refinery in 2024 was carried out successfully, as a result of these operations, the capacity of the oil refining plant exceeds 13 million tons a year.

ABC.AZ reports that Elchin Ibadov, CEO at SOCAR Turkey Enerji, said about this at a press conference in Istanbul.

"STAR refinery is Turkey's largest oil refinery. It covers 18% of Turkey's oil products needs. The repair and modernization of the STAR refinery lasted for two months, as part of these works, one DCU unit was replaced, and $56 million was allocated for these purposes," Elchin Ibadov said.
