 December 16, Fineko/abc.az. 75% of journalists' income is exempt from income tax without applying any conditions.

ABC.AZ informs that this is reflected in the proposed amendments to the Tax Code, put up for discussion at today's Milli Majlis meeting.

According to the draft, 75% of income of individuals engaged in journalistic activities and having income (excluding expenses) from this type of activity for a calendar year in the amount of up to 45,000 manats will be exempt from income tax.

If adopted, this law will enter into force on January 1, 2025.

The bill was put to the vote and adopted in the 3rd reading.
