In Jalilabad, farmers sell persimmons for 30 gapiks more expensive than last year

December 13, Fineko/abc.az. The persimmon harvesting continues in Jalilabad district.

ABC.AZ reports that the farmers expressed satisfaction with the prices of persimmons this year. Persimmons are sold by farmers at the price of 50-60 gapiks per kg, whereas last year the price was 30-40 gapiks.

There is also a high yield this year: an average of 16-17 tons are harvested from each hectare compared to 12-13 tons a year earlier.

According to the regional State Agrarian Development Center, the bulk of the harvested persimmons are sent to the markets of Baku.

Jalilabad has 5.5 hectares of persimmon orchards, which are located mainly in the city of Goytepe, as well as in the villages of Tezekend, Privolnoye and Uchtepe.
