October 31, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2024, potatoes were harvested from an area of 46,160 hectares out of 46,752.1 hectares of acreage. The harvest area made up 98.7% of the sown area.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Statistics Committee, compared with Jan-Sept 2023, the harvesting area declined by 2,917.4 hectares, or 5.9%.

Over Jan-Sept 2023, potatoes were harvested from an area of 49,077.4 hectares.

For Jan-Sept 2024, 892,347.7 tons of potatoes were harvested from cultivated areas (89,597.4 tons or 9.1% less than a year earlier -  981,927.1 tons of potatoes).

For the past 9 months of 2024, the yield reached 193.3 quintals per hectare (6.8 quintals, or 3.4% less against the 2023 same term -  200.1 quintals per hectare).
