Azerbaijan aims to become a persimmon export leader

 October 30, Fineko/abc.az. "In 2018, the country earned $80,000 from the export of persimmons. It is encouraging that in 2023, the volume of currency coming from persimmon exports increased significantly and reached $127.146 million."

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Gadir Yusifov, chairman of board of the Association of Persimmon Producers & Exporters of Azerbaijan.

He noted that Azerbaijan currently ranks 2nd among the persimmon exporting countries in the world, and the main goal is to take the 1st place in this area in the near future.

"The demand for persimmons is very high in Russia, which is our largest market. The prices are also satisfactory. Therefore, our farmers and exporters are working tirelessly, with great enthusiasm, and we hope that by the end of this year we’ll be able to bring our exports to the level of last year, that is, to $127 million.
