October 29, Fineko/abc.az. Lithuania will invest about 138 million euros in gas network development projects over the next five years.
ABC.AZ reports that the operator of Baltic republic’s gas transmission system Amber Grid informed about this.
Such expenses were approved by the State Council for Regulation in the Energy Sector.
In total, according to its decision, 201 million euros will be allocated for development of gas networks in the period from 2024 to 2033.
The director of the system, Nemunas Biknius, believes that natural gas as an energy source will be widely used for at least several more decades, therefore, the reliability of gas transmission networks must be maintained.
