October 28, Fineko/abc.az. KazMunaiGas (KMG) and CNPC will search for oil in Kyzylorda region and the Caspian Sea.

ABC.AZ reports that the national company announced this during a technical seminar on the prospects of geological exploration and enhanced oil recovery in the fields.

In order to expand exploration, explore new territories, replenish oil reserves and introduce innovative technologies, KMG is stepping up cooperation with Chinese oil & gas corporation CNPC.

According to the Comprehensive Study of Sedimentary Basins, the projected resources of the South Torgai basin amount to more than 3.2 billion tons.

To discover new fields, the company plans to expand the horizons of exploration, including in poorly studied basins such as Northern Torgai, Shu-Sarysu and Syrdarya.
