October 18, Fineko/abc.az. Agricultural lands near settlements in the occupation-liberated lands of Azerbaijan within the boundaries of settlements of rural and settlement territorial units will be leased to residents of villages and settlements (for planting of annual and perennial crops) on preferential terms in accordance with the procedure established by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law on Land Lease, discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis.

According to the draft, agricultural lands in the occupation-liberated territories will be leased to business entities through investment tenders in accordance with the procedure established by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.

The bill was put to the vote and adopted in the first reading.
