October 14, Fineko/abc.az. Agricultural lands in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan will be leased to business entities on the basis of investment tenders in accordance with the procedure established by a special executive authority.

ABC.AZ reports that this initiative is reflected in the draft amendments to the Law on Land Lease.

The document is being discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Agrarian Policy.

In addition, the amending bill envisages allotting of agricultural lands located near settlements to residents of rural and settlement territories of the Karabakh and Eastenr Zangezur economic regions for lease on preferential terms in accordance with the rules established by a special executive authority for sowing annual and perennial crops.
