September 11, Fineko/abc.az. Ukraine seeks to deprive Russia of gas transit to Europe - having 22,000 km of gas pipelines, it can destabilize the situation. So far, the transit agreement between Moscow and Kiev is in force, but its term ends in December. If it is not extended, and most likely it will be, supplies will stop, hitting the market at the most painful moment, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Bloomberg.

The publication recalls that the transit of gas to Europe through Ukraine lasted all two years of the conflict. “The cessation of transit through Ukraine actually means the end of an era that was slowly fading away,” says Margarita Balmaceda, professor of iplomacy & international relations at Seton Hall University.
