July 19, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2024, our country imported 386,022 tons of wheat for $85.18 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that Azerbaijan’s wheat imports totaled 493,210 tons for $145.565 million in the same months of 2023.

Thus, compared with Jan-Jun 2023, wheat imports decreased by 22% in quantitative terms, and 1.7-fold in value.

The average cost of imported 1 ton of wheat fell from $295 to $221 (a drop of $74).
