July 5, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, revenues (transit fees) from transportation of oil and natural gas through the territory of Azerbaijan amounted to 900,000 manats.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report “Audit of the formation and use of funds of the State Oil Fund in the main areas” of the Accounts Chamber following the external state financial control event.

According to the report, this is 14.4 million manats or 94.5% less than budgeted (15.3 million manats).

The reason for the sharp decline in Azerbaijan's revenues from oil and gas transit was the termination of transportation via the Western Export Pipeline (Baku-Supsa) due to the situation in Ukraine and restrictions imposed on transportation in the Black Sea.
