Türkiye reduces customs duties on some products from Azerbaijan

July 1, Fineko/abc.az. Since July 1, 2024, Türkiye has cut customs duties on a number of categories of Azerbaijani products.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was published in the official gazette of the government - Resmi Gazete.

According to the changes in the Turkish import regime, customs rates for such names of Azerbaijani products as quince, mulberry, semi-finished products made of iron and steel, wire rod, etc. have been revised.

In particular, the rate on the import of mulberries and quinces from Azerbaijan is set at 7.7 percent. And when processing customs procedures, a duty of 11.3 to 15 percent will be levied on certain types of products made of Azerbaijani iron and steel.

Besides, additional customs duties on plastic pipes, hoses, as well as unalloyed aluminum sheets and plates imported from Azerbaijan have been canceled.

At tha, within the annual quota of 15,000 hectoliters, payments from the state duty on Azerbaijani wines are exempt.

The Turkish Ministry of Commerce is responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the decision.
