June 4, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of the year, 16 nationwide radio channels will be available throughout the country.

ABC.AZ reports that Fazil Novruzov, the head of the Audiovisual Council staff, said about this at roundtable "Audiovisual Media: norms, realities & challenges", held in Baku on June 4 with online media subjects.

He noted that work is currently underway in this regard, and a joint process is underway with the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport.

Novruzov said that since March 16, the programs of national terrestrial TV broadcasters in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula have been switched to the DVB-T2 standard in HD test mode: "We are waiting for positive results by the end of the year. By the end of 2025, the programs of national terrestrial TV broadcasters should switch to DVB-T2."
