A lot of money spent on Shah Deniz field

May 10, Fineko/abc.az. In the first quarter of 2024, about $719 million in operating expenses and about $201 million in capital expenditures were spent on Shah Deniz gas condensate field located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the report on BP's activity in Azerbaijan, dedicated to the 1st quarter of 2024.

Thus, Shah Deniz total expenses for Jan-Mar 2024 amounted to about $920 million.

"The vast majority of these costs related to Shah Deniz 2," the report says.

According to the document, during the quarter, gas supplies from Shah Deniz field continued to the markets of Azerbaijan (Azercontract OJSC), Georgia (GOGC), Türkiye (BOTAŞ), through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline for numerous facilities and buyers in Europe.
