Georgia's GDP grew by 9.5% in February

April 3, Fineko/abc.az. This February, Georgia's real GDP increased by 9.5% compared with February 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that the turnover of the Georgian private sector, represented by VAT-paying enterprises, reached 11.4 billion lari (11.8% more versus February 2023).

Last month, the country registered 6,100 new companies (5.8% less than a year earlier).

The largest growth was recorded in the manufacturing industry, construction, professional and scientific-technical spheres, information and communication technologies, transport and warehousing. However, there is decline in the energy and mining industries.

Average GDP growth rate for Jan-Feb was 7.7%.
