March 29, Fineko/abc.az. A sharp increase in solar energy consumption may affect electricity prices.

ABC.AZ reports that in the first two months of this year, the production of solar energy in the country increased 6-fold. Azerbaijan's renewable energy potential is estimated at 27,000 MW.

Speaking on this topic, MP Vugar Bayramov said that the availability of renewable energy potential and the growth of energy production in our country can reduce electricity prices.

"In developed countries, families provide for their own consumption by producing energy from alternative energy sources. There is even a practice of selling the received energy to the relevant state body," the MP stressed.
