March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's solar power plants generated 29.4 million kWh of energy for Jan-Feb 2024 (3.6-fold more versus Jan-Feb 2023), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Output and services for 587.5 million manats were produced and rendered in the sector of production, distribution and supply of electric energy, gas and steam in Azerbaijan. Decline of 7.9% was recorded in this sphere.

The volume of products in the water supply, waste treatment and recycling sector increased by 22.7% up to 86.5 million manats.

Over the past two months, Azerbaijan generated 4.378 bn kWh of electricity (10.1% less against Jan-Feb 2023). Of them, 4.229 bn kWh of commercial electricity was generated (10.6% less than year-on-year).

Thermal power plants generated 3.928 bn kWh of energy (14.6% less than a year ago).

For Jan-Feb 2024, hydropower plants in Azerbaijan generated 262.7 million kWh of electricity (2.3-fold more versus Jan-Feb 2023).

Over the past 2 months, country’s wind farms generated 9.4 million kWh of energy (5.6% more against Jan-Feb 2023).
