March 6, Fineko/abc.az. Huawei smartphones have overtaken the iPhone in popularity in the Chinese market.

ABC.AZ reports that iPhone sales in China fell by 24% in the first six weeks of 2024. Huawei has become the main competitor of the American manufacturer. During the same period, Huawei smartphone sales increased by 64% year-on-year.

Apple's share in the Chinese smartphone market fell to 15.7%, and the company dropped to fourth place in popularity among Chinese users. A year earlier, it was in second place with a 19% share. In turn, Huawei rose to second place, the manufacturer's market share in the Chinese smartphone market increased from 9.4% to 16.5% over the year. The Chinese smartphone market shrank by 7%.
