January 26, Fineko/abc.az. In recent years, there has been significant increase of interest in the creation of raspberry farms in Goygol district. This economically profitable berry is grown mainly by residents of foothill villages.

ABC.AZ reports that several private raspberry farms have also been created in the area. One of them is Frozenik LLC, operating on the territory of Samedli settlement. In 2023, the farm established an intensive raspberry orchard on 11 hectares. To provide the garden with constant irrigation water, a subartesian well was drilled on the territory, a pond built, and a drip irrigation system installed to avoid water loss.

Currently, the farm grows varieties "Polka", "Polana" and local raspberries. Since "Polka" variety is more productive than others, its cultivation is preferable on the farm. On average, 8-10 tons of raspberries are expected to be harvested from each hectare during the year. It is planned to attract up to 50 people to the farm.

The grown product will be sold throughout the country for now. In the future, its export will also be carried out.
