Last year, Azerbaijan's economy grew by 1.1%

January 16, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, Azerbaijan produced GDP by AZN 123 bn (or by 1.1%) more than a year earlier.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that value added in the oil & gas sector of the economy declined by 1.7% and increased by 3.7% in the non-oil/gas sector.

According to the data, 40.5% of GDP production accounted for industry, 10% for trade, repair of vehicles, 6.2% for transport and warehousing, 6.2% for construction, 5.5% for agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.2% for tourist accommodation and catering, 1.7% for the fields of information and communications, 18.6% for the share of other areas. Net taxes on products and imports made up 9.1% of GDP.

GDP per capita was 12,114.5 manats.
