12.3% of taxpayers registered in Azerbaijan were with foreign investments

January 15, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, 87.7% of registered commercial organizations have local investments and 12.3% have foreign investments.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service, that the share of e-registration of limited liability companies with local investments during 2023 made up 95.5%.

According to the new registration method (PIN + mobile phone number), 2,160 LLCs with local investments were registered.

In 2023, the number of legal entities whose activities were activated (restored) grew by 20.2% compared with 2022, and the number of VAT-payers whose activity was activated grew by 18.5%.

As of January 1, 2024, 22,563 commercial organizations with foreign investments passed state registration. The number of commercial organizations with active foreign investments increased by 10.9% compared to January 1, 2023.
