350,000 new jobs created in non-oil/gas sector to achieve Sustainable Development Goals

November 15, Fineko/abc.az. 80% of the consolidated budget for 2024 will be spent on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister and deputy chairman of the National Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development Mikayil Jabbarov stated about this during his speech at the II Baku Forum on Sustainable Development.

He noted that 350,000 new jobs have been created in the non-oil/gas sector to achieve the SDGs:

"This is an average of 70,000 jobs per year. The next goal we face is to focus not only on the number of jobs, but also on development of industries that improve their quality."
