October 27, Fineko/abc.az. With the development of digitalization in the banking sector, the number of fraud cases is also growing.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA director general Farid Osmanov said about this, when commenting on the frequent cases of fraud against commercial bank customers.

"Digital payments are developing rapidly. People's payment habits are changing. Channels for obtaining financial services are also expanding. Following Jan-Sept 2023, the share of non-cash payments in the country exceeded 54%. In the context of growing digitalization, fraud cases are inevitably increasing," he said.

Osmanov added that the CBA has launched a new campaign aimed at raising public awareness on this issue: "We are working closely with the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan. We already have a working group and an action program has been developed."
