October 13, Fineko/abc.az. In Nakhchivan, it will be possible to pay for public transport using a bank card.

ABC.AZ reports that Elchin Aliyev, the head of the department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, said.

"For the first time in Nakhchivan, the function of paying with a bank card for public transport passes will be introduced. You can pay with a card of any bank that has a contactless payment function. Thus, passengers no longer need to buy an additional card," Aliyev said.

He added that payment can also be made with an Inkart card issued by one of the local banks.

"It will be possible to replenish it in terminals at bus stops, and with the help of a special mobile application. The project is aimed at increasing non-cash payments and minimizing the turnover of cash," Aliyev said.
