September 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) under the State Service for Antimonopoly & Consumer Market Supervision has adopted state standard AZS 34609:2023 “Ball valves and valves with conical closing elements with manual control for gas installations of buildings”.

ABC.AZ reports that this draft standard is designed to establish mandatory requirements for the quality and safety of elements of non-ferrous metal gas installations, reflect the requirements and expectations of consumers in relation to these goods, as well as the formation of consumer confidence in the quality of goods.

The standard will also contribute to the production of industrial products that are competitive by modern standards and increase export potential through more efficient use of local raw materials, in particular non-ferrous metals.
