September 14, Fineko/abc.az. The construction of an Armenian-American metallurgical plant on the border with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan from the city of Aradeyyan (Yeraskh) in southeastern Armenia is being moved to a new location.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the EU mission’s message posted on social networks.

"In recent weeks, the EU observer mission has regularly patrolled the Yeraskh area to observe and monitor the dismantling of the metallurgical plant. With our presence, we have facilitated the safe and reliable transportation of materials and equipment to a new location," the message says.

Azerbaijani authorities have repeatedly demanded that Armenia stop the construction of a metallurgical plant near the Azerbaijani-Armenian border because of environmental risks of the project.
