September 12, Fineko/abc.az. Gas production in Azerbaijan totaled 32.2 bcm for Jan-Aug 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Energy Ministry’s operational data, the country produced 8.6 bcm of associated gas from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block for Jan-Aug, 17.6 bcm of natural gas from Shah Deniz field, 200 million cu m from Absheron gas condensate field, and 5.8 bcm by SOCAR.

Compared with Jan-Aug 2022, gas extraction grew by 5%, that is, by 1.5 bcm.

Gas sales abroad reached 15.8 bcm for the reported term, including 3.8 bcm to Türkiye via TANAP.

212 bcm of associated gas were produced at ACG block since the start of development and as of September 1, 2023, 200.3 bcm of natural gas at Shah Deniz field. At that, over the entire period, about 141.5 bcm of gas produced at Shah Deniz were exported to world markets.
