September 12, Fineko/abc.az. BMW Group intends to keep MINI plant in Oxford, investing £600 million in it, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Financial Times.
The plant will receive another £75 million from the British government.
According to sources, the plant will begin production of new models of MINI electric vehicles from 2026, however, batteries for them will be supplied from Europe or China.
In addition to the Oxford plant, both models will be produced at the BMW joint venture and Great Wall in China itself.
