July 31, Fineko/abc.az. Electric crossover Tesla Model Y became the best-selling model on the European market in the 1st half of 2023, according to analytical agency Autostat. This car was chosen by 136,564 residents of Europe, which indicates a 3-fold increase in demand.

The car is most popular among residents of Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Sweden. At that, in Norway, Tesla Model Y accounts for about 25% of all sales. For example: the share of LADA Granta in the Russian Federation is slightly less.

The 2nd place was taken by hatchback Dacia Sandero, whose sales increased by 27% to 123,408 vehicles, and crossover Volkswagen T-Roc was in 3rd place – its sales reached 111,692 cars (+29%). Peugeot 208 (-4%, 105,700 cars sold) and Opel/Vauxhall Corsa (+19%, 105,600 cars) also got into Top 5 of popular models.
