ABC.AZ reports that a food chain owned by Amazon.com - Amazon Fresh laid off hundreds of employees on Tuesday.

The company has laid off employees who are called regional leaders or are responsible for individual departments of stores.

Employees are offered severance pay or the opportunity to apply for other positions at Amazon.
