July 25, Fineko/abc.az. Amid fears of reduction in supplies from the Black Sea region, wheat prices have peaked since mid-February. Wheat futures in Chicago rose about 2.6% to $7.7725 per bushel.
ABC.AZ reports that wheat has recently become more expensive because of Russia's withdrawal from the grain agreement. The price increase intensified after reports of terrorist attacks at facilities in Odessa region, Financial Times writes.
Russia and Ukraine account for about 30% of the world's wheat supplies.
