IBM reduced revenue in 2nd quarter

July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over the 2nd quarter of 2023, International Business Machines (IBM) slightly reduced revenue, which led to a moderate decline in company's stock prices.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to IBM's press release that revenue over April-June of this year decreased by 0.4% to $15.48 bn, while analysts surveyed by FactSet predicted an indicator of $15.6 bn.

The net income increased by 8% up to $1.58 bn, or $1.72 per share, compared with $1.39 bn ($1.53 per share) in the same period of the previous year.

Earnings excluding one-time factors, meanwhile, decreased to $2.18 from $2.31 per share, but exceeded the average forecast of experts at $2.01 per share.
