Japan increases grain imports from Russia

July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Japan has increased grain imports from Russia in the first six months of 2023 (509.7% more versus Jan-Jun 2022).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the trade statistics of the Ministry of Finance of Japan.

At that, imports of vegetables decreased by 56.7%, fruits by 96.8%, and fish and fish products by 23.4%.

In June 2023, grain imports from Russia grew by 445.2% compared to June 2022. At the same time, the import of vegetables declined by 78.1% and fish and fish products by 14.2%.

This June, Japan did not import fruits from Russia.
