July 7, Fineko/abc.az. Tariffs for parking vehicles, approved by the Cabinet Ministers on June 25, will be valid only in state-owned parking lots, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport.

Based on the requirements of the legislation on the management of street parking spaces, appropriate measures are being taken. Government's decision applies to street parking that are part of state highways. Currently, signs installed by the Baku Transport Agency on streets and roads indicate that parking spaces belong to the state. That is, all existing street parking spaces equipped with appropriate road signs belong to the state. Decisions regarding the management of private and off-street parking spaces, tariffs and other rules will be made by the owner of the property.

The Agency also stated that the information about the leasing of state parking spaces has no basis.
