June 23, Fineko/abc.az. The opening of the next commando military unit in our country is a very significant event. As you know, after the Patriotic War, on my instructions, forces of commando were created in the Ministry of Defense, and the number of commandos is growing day by day.

ABC.AZ reports that President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev said this on June 23, speaking at the ceremony of awarding the Battle Banner to one of the military units of the commandos of the Ministry of Defense.

"Several military units are already operating, and it is planned to open new military units. Thus, we are significantly increasing our combat capability," the head of state said.
