June 19, Fineko/abc.az. It is planned to launch large–capacity metrobuses between the two cities where the largest passenger traffic in Azerbaijan is observed – Baku and Sumgait.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Faig Seidov, the head of company Xaliq Faiqoğlu.

He pointed out that the company is currently considering joint projects with the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA):

"One of them is a project to launch metrobuses between Baku and Sumgait (22 units of a 21-meter metrobus electric motor manufactured by Türkiye of OTOKAR brand). If this project is implemented, it will be a big step towards implementation of sustainable and high-quality passenger transportation between the two major cities. We believe such progressive ideas will be implemented as soon as possible and will support development of the transport network."
