May 11, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received TotalEnergie’s president for exploration & production Nicolas Terraz.

ABC.AZ reports that at the meeting it was noted that successful cooperation has been carried out between SOCAR and TotalEnergies for many years.

The issue of starting production at the Absheron gas field in the coming months was discussed.

Nicholas Terras stressed TotalEnergies' commitment and sustained interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan and announced his intention to expand company's activities in Azerbaijan.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views about possible projects in the field of renewable energy production in addition to traditional cooperation in the oil & gas sector.
